]]>We were the last dog in group number 2 in this wave so there are no dogs from group number 1 and we picked up where they were jumping after we secured Harry in his crate with his water after drying him off.

]]>Since we were in the 2:00 wave we were able to shoot this wave. Morning sun is always a challenge but we were able to get the shot except with some of the black labs, I am not a fan of the sun.

This is the second to late wave of the weekend, full wave as all on Saturday were. The rain threat did not keep the people away. The crowds were built up so much after speed retrieve I would have been rude to assume I could just take a spot at the end of the pool so I shot in a spot where no one could get in the way.

]]>Dockdogs lost a great one when Thunder had to go to the bridge. I first saw Thunder in Wheeling West Virginia back in 2006, this was not his first event. Thunder is a rescue from Lab Rescue and was given a life most dogs only dream of. Thunder lived with Sharon Rodgers and she has been an asset to the Sport of Dockdogs through her prowess with admin. Thunder competed up and down the East Coast as well as going to Nationals. The pictures are not from just a few events but rather from a variety, I know Thunder is competing at the Rainbow Bridge. These shots were provided to the club to use in a memory book. I have also put these into a slide how on You Tube on my channel "Dockdog Photos".

]]>This is the final wave to qualify for the finals, Harry was only in Wave#6. I tried some different shooting angles to begin with but never lose sight of the fact that people come to watch and I should not just pull up a small ladder and block people view just to get the shot, I kneeled down so as to get the shot and not block peoples view and ended up back at the end in a spot where I would not interfere with judging or peoples view.

]]>These are divisional finals. They take best jumps within a division, some dogs jumped at or below their title and then might have popped out a personal best that puts them at the next level and not good enough to jump at that level. My dog moved up to the next division this past season and therefore it will be awhile before he gets god enough to make a final again at his title level. These are all pretty much as shot, some of the darker dogs had to be lightened up.

]]>This is wave#3. Harry was in Wave#2 so as is customary we did not take any pictures during that wave so we could tend to his needs before he had his jump, mostly waking him up from his nap. I leave him in his crate rather than tethering him to a pool that is actually against the rules. We did not come on Saturday the 12th so the next shots will be from the 13th.

]]>I went to the festival to compete with Harry foremost and also took a few shots. After having shot events in 7 different states as well as Worlds and Nationals this year I clearly did not need to tie up my dog to pool as I saw done during wave#3 and shoot pictures. I am not making any of my pictures available for free download out of respect for the official photographer for the club holding the event.
